Legrand Raises Over $550K Through ‘Better Communities’ Program

Through its Better Communities employee volunteer program, Legrand has announced that it has raised and contributed more than $550K in both products and financial donations throughout the last year.

In 2017, Legrand’s Better Communities initiative helped establish several new school partnerships for their Better Schools sustainable energy efforts, raised more than $98 thousand for their American Red Cross Disaster Relief fundraiser and have donated plenty of Legrand solutions and products to veterans and their homes.

“The impact we have been able to make with our Better Communities program is the direct result of our outstanding employees who have shown a steadfast commitment to enhancing the areas where they live by improving the lives of those in need,” Legrand North and Central America CEO John Selldroff said.

At Legrand, Better Communities is a three-part program. The company dedicates the Better Homes project toward providing home building and repair to our nation’s veterans, to those who are disabled or have low income. Their Better Schools projects collaborate with public schools in an effort to promote sustainable environment through water, waste and energy management. Finally, Legrand employees under the Better Recover serve the community by providing emergency and disaster relief assistance.

Selldroff notes that Legrand will continue to expand on programs within Better Communities and notes that employees will be asked to contribute more to their surrounding communities.
