Belden Inc., one of the largest US-based manufacturers of high-speed electronic cables and wire, has announced its expanded focus on HDBaseT Certification. The company is now offering Power of HDBaseT-related cables and special Authorized Training for the certification.
The maker of the award-winning RevConnect wire termination system says that the expansion aims to ensure productive and safe HDBaseT installations. After having trained 28 Belden employees through the necessary courses, they are now fully capable and qualified to train other industry professionals to achieve HDBaseT certifications. This, in turn, makes Belden the first cabling manufacturer with HDBaseT Authorized Trainers.
Additionally, certification for HDBaseT usage with POH rating has been authorized to 2183R and 2183P 4K Ultra HD Media Cables. With this UL certification, safety and demanding productivity without the risk of overheating are possible.
“Belden believes that HDBaseT offers many advantages, including easier installation, reduced installation costs, equipment-location flexibility and high-quality signals,” says Belden Director of Sales and Channel, Broadcast and AV, Elizabeth Stephan. “We’re doing all we can to ensure that we’re improving the performance and safety of Power over HDBaseT applications so that installers and end-users are ready for the demands of a high-performing AV installation.”
If you’re headed to the 2017 InfoComm Conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, Belden will be prepared to share more information about the HDBaseT-rated cables and the PartnerAlliance HDBaseT Warranty. You can find them at Booth #3613 and the HDBaseT Alliance Booth at #3761.
