Software and hardware distributor Tech Data has announced that it plans to launch their Tech-as-a-Service in the United Kingdom. The goal of the service is to offer consumers competitive subscription values while providing its partners assistance with life-cycle management.
With the launch scheduled sometime early this year, Tech Data can utilize the Tech-as-a-Service program to help resellers provide consumers with up to date products and technology without risk to their IT budget. Resellers can even join together their own program with Tech Data’s, which opens up the opportunity to provide training, support, maintenance and installation.
“Many customers are moving towards a services-based, pay-as-you-go model for their IT consumption. With our programme, resellers can now offer a full technology solution in a single subscription,” Tech Data’s UK Executive Matt Child said.
“Technology acquisition, deployment, management, and end-of-life recycling are all covered under one agreement and delivered through flexible payment options.”
