HID Global’s Visitor System Improves Medical Center’s ROI

According to a recent case study from HID Global, one of the largest providers of digital credentials and access management solutions has successfully helped the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center increase their overall ROI by 90% by implementing their EasyLobby® Visitor Management System.

HID Global’s EasyLobby® Secure Visitor Management System serves as an upgrade from handwritten paper logs and inferior check-in systems while effectively adding new configuration capabilities that make it easier for enterprises and businesses to carry out their visitor check-in system with ease.

So, when the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center found out about HID’s EasyLobby® SVM through a web demo, the facility particularly found its ability to freely configure all of its peripherals to be quite favorable. Now, the facility can make it easier for both visitors and employees to securely check in with the use of barcode ID cards, a sharp improvement from their previous color-coded plastic badges setup. Even further, the software can allow the medical center to gather data about it’s visitors by using the software’s check out system as an ROI indicator. Since it’s implementation, the medical center has received a successful 90% checkout rate.

“We use EasyLobby to check in every visitor who enters our facility, at every entrance. All locations in the hospital are listed in the Category field and the inpatient being visited is prominently displayed. Visitor badges are printed with a barcode for easy check-out,” CHPA Security Manager Phillip LeClair said. “EasyLobby has been great to work with and is actually one of the security tools that sold me on taking the job as Security Manager at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center – it really does help us live up to our mission to protect our future.”
