New In-Ceiling Speakers from Vanco

Vanco, a company that’s known for an impressive range of audio and video products, recently launched a series of in-ceiling speakers starting at $150. Compared to others, these speakers are an in-budget option for average consumers. Based out of Illinois, the company manufactures custom AV products. This is the latest addition to its Beale Street Audio brand, which includes speakers, woofers, and amplifiers.

Named as Beale Basics, Vanco’s latest model can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes. Just mount it to any wall or ceiling, and the speakers will stay there until you take them down. You can order the speakers this week and get them delivered to your doorstep.

What’s New?

Two of Vanco’s models, IC8-BSC and IC6-BSC, are ideal for residential purposes. The former features a two-way design with a 6.5-inch woofer, and the latter is equipped with an 8.5-inch woofer. Other models like IC8V-BSC and IC6V-BSC are the same as the previous when considering components used, but they’re in 70V range. This range makes them ideal for commercial purposes like in pubs, bars, and restaurants.

The upper range model (starting from $160), IC6DT-BSC, has dual tweeters along with a 6.5-inch woofer. This is similar to IC6-BSC, which is appropriate for scenarios where a single speaker will serve the purpose or and you can’t accommodate two.

The high-end model of this range is WP6V-BSC at $270 per set. If you decide to purchase this model, you get a 6.5-inch woofer along with a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter.

The speakers are enclosed in a black pendant, which makes them weather-resistant and ideal for both outdoor and indoor settings. To top it off, the speaker is powered by 3 decibels with a low-frequency limit of 100Hz and has a sensitivity of 85 decibels. This model also comes with mounting hardware.

Irrespective of the model, you can’t beat a pivoting Kevlar woofer, titanium dome tweeter, or butyl rubber for deep bass and durability. The design is appealing as always and comes with a frameless design.

Are They Worth Buying?

Despite being budget-friendly, Vanco hasn’t compromised on the quality and installer-friendliness that it’s known for. The signature ‘dog ear’ mounting system and magnetic grill retain their places in the Beale Basics range of speakers.

The only thing you’ll be missing out on is the Sonic Vortex speaker technology, which you find in other range of Vanco’s products. But with price starting at $150, it’s undoubtedly a bargain. The speakers are covered with a limited warranty period.
